Public website and Facebook review prepared on 22 September 2026. The follower figure is an approximate snapshot from the review. The homepage images are proposed design concepts, and the timeline is a recommendation; post-launch performance has not been measured.

The challenge

Make it easier for newcomers, regular attendees, online worshippers and hall renters to find the information they need and take a useful next step.

My role

I reviewed the public presence, identified content and navigation gaps, mapped visitor tasks, developed the homepage concepts, and prepared search, publishing, ownership and measurement recommendations.

What I delivered

  • Website and Facebook presence review
  • Four audience journeys and proposed site architecture
  • Three visual directions and a full homepage concept
  • SEO and AEO recommendations
  • Eight-week implementation plan and action register

The plan

Four audiences. Clear next steps.

Proposed monthly Facebook content mix
  • Worship and invitation4
  • Community stories3
  • Events and hall2
  • History and questions1

A recommended ten-post monthly plan. These are planned content volumes, rather than published results.

Priority search and content improvements

  • Publish a complete first-Sunday guide.
  • Add useful hall details and an enquiry path.
  • Use clear headings, titles and image descriptions.
  • Keep local contact information consistent.
  • Feature the latest service with a separate archive.
  • Assign content ownership and a reporting rhythm.
Proposed eight-week implementation
TimingPhaseFocus
Week 1Discovery and accessAgree goals, audiences, content and ownership.
Weeks 2–3Structure, SEO and AEOMap visitor tasks and write useful answers.
Weeks 3–4Design and prototypeRefine the visual direction and mobile layouts.
Weeks 5–6Development and migrationBuild pages, move content and add measurement.
Week 7Quality assuranceCheck accessibility, forms, links and search basics.
Week 8Training and launchTrain the editor, launch and confirm indexing.

The timeline assumes timely access, one decision-maker and prompt approval of copy and imagery. The first 30 days after launch would focus on measurement and refinement.

Strategy into decisions

How I approached the work.

01

Start with the first visit

I put service information, what to expect, directions and a plan-your-visit action at the centre of the proposed homepage hierarchy.

02

Organise around visitor tasks

The architecture gives each audience a clear path to Sunday information, current events, online worship or hall rental details.

03

Make answers easy to find

The SEO and AEO plan prioritises clear headings, useful page titles, direct answers to visitor questions, local identity and structured information that matches visible content.

04

Design for ongoing upkeep

I paired the visual work with named content ownership, weekly updates, a Facebook content mix and a monthly reporting routine.
